Dr.Hanuman Sahay (Classical Singer)

Early life - Pandit Hanuman Sahay Ji is born on 25th November 1960 in a musical family of Rajasthan in India, and spend his youth touring India with his group. His father Pandit Kalyan Sahay and mother Late Shrimati Prabhati Devi was first gurus of Pandit Ji. His Uncle Pandit Radha Sharan Ji and Pandit Narsingh Das Ji Marwadi was a famous musician in Rajasthan his specialty is Bhakti Paraksangeet. In 1972 study music under the musician Guru Pt. Chiranji Lal Tanwar, Pt. Govind Prasad Jaipurwale, Pandit Lakshman Bhatt Tailang. After finishing your studies in 1980, Pandit Ji worked in Banasthali Vidyapeeth for 20 years as a Nagma Vadak.

Personal life and family - Pandit Ji married with Geeta Devi in 1981 and their daughter Ashawari Sahay. He is a very simple man wear Kurta Pajama of khadi cotton in light colors and always wear only the black Jutti the brand of Charmica. The whole family of Pandit Ji is a disciple of JagadguruNimbarkacharyaji. Your family is living in “sattvikta”. The necklace of the Tulsi always remains in your neck.

Style and contribution - Pt. Hanuman Sahayhis name often preceded by the title Pandit (Master), Indian musician and a composer of a Hindustani classical musician. He is one of the best-known exponents of the classical compositions of Jaipur Gharana in Rajasthan. Panditji developed style distinct from that of his contemporaries and incorporated influences from Rhythm practices of the music of Jaipur Gharana. Especially the “Tihai’s”. His performance being with solo alap influenced by the slow and serious dhrupad genre, followed by a section with tabla accompaniment featuring compositions associated with the prevalent Khayal. Panditji often closed his performances with light classical Thumri or bhajan. Presently you are imparting free music training to students who are completely devoted to music under the “GuruShishyaParampara” Maestro-disciple tradition in Jaipur. And director of "Sur Sahitya Kala Sansthan"(N.G.O.) from 2005. And has organized various events every year.
